Freeform has entered the world of late-night television with the launch of their first talk show,Truth and Iliza.

The show's set six-week run started Tuesday, May 2, when it debuted at 10 p.m. with Iliza Shlesinger as host.

Though Truth and Iliza is Shlesinger's first solo show, the 32-year-old has already made herself well-known in the comedy world. In 2013, after moving to Los Angeles and doing comedy for only three years, Shlesinger became the first woman, and youngest contestant, to win NBC's comedy competition show Last Comic Standing.

Shlesinger debuted with her first one-hour comedy special, War Paint, which reached #1 on the iTunes charts in 2013 and is available to stream on Netflix. In 2016, Shlesinger began her first national theatre tour with "Iliza: The Confirmed Kills Tour." Confirmed Kills is also available to stream on Netflix.

In November of this year, Weinstein Books will partner with Shlesinger to publish her first novel, "Girl Logic: Understanding That You Make Sense When You Make No Sense At All".

Truth and Iliza is a half-hour show where Shlesinger will share her view of the societal issues occurring today. The format, she explained in the first show, will consist of in-studio guests, interviews, and sketches, that will take a new theme question each week.

Shlesinger said, "On this show, I am gonna tackle many subjects: from the important to the absurd to the super-fun."

Shlesinger will use the show as a platform to tackle topics like global warming and women's rights, in a way that's entertaining for teenagers and young adults -- with lots of her candid humor.

The theme question of the first show was "Well, What Can We Say?" Shlesinger discussed the speculation that everything anyone says today offends someone.

"To speak with authority on a subject, it's important to be informed," Shlesinger said.

Shlesinger went on to satirically talk through many current issues, including immigration and the stereotypes women face, in the half-hour debut.

You can still catch the first episode for free on Freeform.

You can follow Iliza Shlesinger on Twitter and Instagram, and Truth and Iliza on Twitter and Instagram, to get up-to-date notifications about the show. Also, be sure to check out new episodes of Truth and Iliza on Freeform, Tuesday nights at 10 p.m.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
