f you ever happen to decide to get a Park Hopper pass, or become a cast member, you may find yourself wanting to attempt to visit all four of Walt Disney World’s theme parks in one day. Sound impossible? Being the size of San Francisco, and offering countless attractions, shows, and other entertainment options, it can be quite the challenge. However, the challenge itself is not impossible. You just need to have a plan.
Last week, my roommate, our Tsum Tsums, and I decided to take this challenge. We decided that the conditions would be that we would have to ride at least two rides or do a ride and a show in each park. Because we’re horrible in the moment decision makers, we came up with a plan the night before of what we wanted to do.
We decided we needed to open one park, which meant leaving our apartment early, which also meant that we needed to stop for coffee because there was no way I was doing this without caffeine.
After stopping for coffee, we were on our way to Animal Kingdom where our plans were to ride Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, and maybe Expedition Everest. Luckily for me, we decided against Everest, but my roommate swears she’ll get me on it one day. We also stopped to take some basic Instagram shots in Africa.
After that, we headed over to Hollywood Studios. Sadly, there’s not much to do there right now, since most of the park is under construction. We were still able to watch the Indiana Jones show, and ride Star Tours. Of course, the construction didn’t stop Pooh and Stitch from getting their picture taken in front of what was once The Great Movie Ride.
Then we headed over to Epcot. This took a while. We were going to take the Friendship Boat that operates between Hollywood Studios and the World Showcase, but we were waiting too long next to parents who were completely ignoring their child who wanted their attention. Not wanting to deal with that, we decided to go wait for one of the buses, which took forever to get there, but we eventually did make our way to Epcot.
While we were there, we stopped for dinner and rode Soarin’ and Spaceship Earth. We would have rode Test Track as well, but we wanted to make it to Magic Kingdom, and of course the best way to get from Epcot to Magic Kingdom is by Monorail!
Once we were in Magic Kingdom, we decided to stop for some more common Instagram shots, such as the casting door, and the purple wall.
As for rides, we obviously had to ride Space Mountain and Peoplemover. We even had enough time at the end of the night to grab a good spot to watch the fireworks from.
At the end of the night, we were exhausted, but we made it and had a blast! If you’re looking to take on this challenge, I would definitely recommend doing so only if you’re pretty familiar with the parks and know exactly what you want to do.
Now for the next challenge: six parks one day!
