We're officially on the home stretch for Christmas! If you know anything about me, it's that I absolutely love anything and everything Christmas. I'm one of those people who would leave their Christmas tree up year round if I could, but sadly that's not acceptable in society for some reason. The one thing that I can do that's semi-acceptable is listen to Christmas music. I love putting together playlists and buying new Christmas CDs to jam to whenever I feel like it. Here are some of my favorite Christmas CDs and EPs to get you in the Christmas spirit. We're only five days away, after all!
1) A Pentatonix Christmas: Pentatonix
I love when Pentatonix puts new Christmas music out because it really captures the spirit of the holiday season. In the third installment of their wonderful Christmas CDs ("PTXmas" and "That's Christmas to Me" being its predecessor), "A Pentatonix Christmas" is a ton of fun. Plus, it's a perfect CD to give to your friends to share in the holiday magic.
Songs to Look for: "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays", "Coldest Winter", "The Christmas Sing-a-Long", and "O Come All Ye Faithful"
2) Christmas and Chill: Ariana Grande
I'll be honest: the first time I heard that this was going to be a thing, I didn't listen to it. I was hoping it would be covers of different Christmas songs with a few originals like the last Christmas EP was. However, after hearing a song from it the other day and then listening to the entire thing on repeat, I was mistaken. Ariana Grande's "Christmas and Chill" isn't for everyone, but it definitely delivers some bops that you'll be jamming to year round.
Songs to Look for: "Wit it This Christmas", "December", "Winter Things"
3) Holiday Wishes: Idina Menzel
Idina Menzel is the queen. End of story. She further proves that she's the queen of Christmas with this album. "Holiday Wishes" is packed with blissful covers of holiday favorites, including a few originals. Plus, there's a duet with the certified king of Christmas, Michael Bublè, so how can you compete with that?
Songs to Look for: "Baby, it's Cold Outside", "River", "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", and "Holly Jolly Christmas"
4) Home for Christmas: *NSYNC
Is it really Christmas without *NSYNC's Christmas album? The answer is no. This CD is most remembered for their jam "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays", but gets no praise after that. However, pick it up and see that it's probably one of the most iconic Christmas albums of our time.
Songs to Look for: "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays", "O Holy Night", "Home for Christmas", and "The First Noel"
