I know how you feel. There are days when you feel so done with the drama of your sorority that you wonder why you are still there.

When girls say mean things about their best friends behind their backs, or when everyone is not included and exclusivity takes control, you wonder: Where is the sisterhood?

I use the term "girl" because no respectable woman would act unkindly to her peers.

When the rules seem ridiculous and you constantly walk on eggshells, you're afraid of getting in trouble, or you feel as though you must impress EVERYONE.

When you can't make time for your other organizations and friends because you are already booked with mandatory events on top of trying to connect with so many new people, you lose your priorities.

When the dues seem too high for a college budget, you feel embarrassed and do not know who to talk to.

Being in a sorority is hard at times, and the issues above lead plenty of women to disaffiliate from their organization, BUT there are still so many rewarding aspects of Greek life.

For the sisters who think about how difficult it can be but keep going, we are here for you.

It is hard to see your friends suddenly drop, and it is true that there is this difficult side to sorority life, like drama, money issues, and time commitments.

But even with these problems, why do we stay?

We stay for the connections that truly matter to us. We may not be popular or get along with everyone, but we still talk to the girl who smiled and started a beautiful friendship on bid day. We stay for the group that says they will study organic chemistry together but ends up watching every cheesy holiday movie on Netflix instead.

We stay for the roommates who still take selfies in your letters with you even though they have already taken too many. We stay for the fam that still gives the best advice even after they graduate and maintains the traditional Mexican dinner together.

These connections brought us together as a sisterhood, and while we each have our own niche in this community, we are all sisters.

Most importantly, we stay for our organization and what it truly stands for. As a community, we support our sisters to be the best that they can be academically, personally, and professionally.

We work together to build our philanthropy and serve our community because we understand the importance of giving back. We bond over the founding principles of our ritual because those words inspire the love that leads to our service, learning, and friendship.

To the sister who has considered dropping her sorority, we are here for you. We have been where you are and we value you.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
