Falling in love with you was like skydiving on blind faith.

Dear My Person,

I know that once you read this you will know exactly who you are. I think that in itself is something to cherish.

When I think about it, falling in love with you was like skydiving on blind faith. I remember my heart racing on Fridays when I invited myself to Chick-fil-A with you and your friends JUST so I could see you. I remember the movie nights, food runs, and constant snuggles that filled our weekends. The butterflies in my stomach and the sparks of love were endless.

The funny thing is, I wasn't looking for you, I just found you. Out of funny circumstances, and total coincidence, we became friends and got to know each other's personalities, fears, hopes, and dreams. But as blindsided as I was, I'm extremely glad you stumbled into my weird, little life.

You know me, you know I hate feeling vulnerable. I hate feeling like someone can see when I’m not at my strongest and that I have the opportunity to break. Now I wanted to say thank you for making me feel completely comfortable when I find myself in such a fragile state.

You recognize my vulnerability the most, possibly because I’m able to let it show around you, and you help me work through it and guide me away from it. What I’m most thankful for is the power you have to show me how to turn around from it. No, you aren’t my complete healer — I never want you to be my whole band-aid — but you’re my crutch. Thank you forever for that.

I wanted to acknowledge my favorite parts of you and why it’s so wonderful that you have these traits. With what is happening in the world today, I feel sluggish and pessimistic. You refrain from that behavior. You’re someone who is bright and cherishes as many moments as you can. I know you’re the light in the room; everyone shouts your name and showers you with hugs when you’re around.

Not many people have that kind of character, so that just makes you one of a kind. To counter all of that, you’ve let me into your world. I’ve had the opportunity to see you at times when you’re not as cheerful and it’s made me realize that you’re just as human as the rest of us. I love you even more for it.

But, above all, I think you're much more than just my person. You're my partner in crime, my dinner date, my pillow, my cheerleader, my confidant, and most importantly, my best friend. Although I couldn't see you coming, I am eternally grateful that you're in my life today. wherever the road takes us, I'm glad that I got to walk life with you by my side.

This world is filled with a few kinds of people; terrible people, ok people, and great people. You are a great person.

Always,

Your Person

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
