The world of health and nutrition can be very confusing and tricky, with all the fad diets, styles of eating, and popular dietary restrictions, it can feel like you're never eating the right thing. This list gives you just a few foods that you need to be trying your hardest to include in your diet whether you're a carnivore, omnivore, or herbivore.

1. Beans

Health Magazine tells us that beans are important because of the fiber and protein they contain, and contrary to popular belief people who eat beans regularly experience less gas and bloating than those who don't.

2. Avocado

According to Healthline, avocados are loaded with vitamin C, K, B 5 and 6, and even more potassium than a banana. They are also one of the best sources of healthy fat being that they are very low in saturated fat.

3. Oatmeal

With so many vitamins and minerals there isn't any reason that we shouldn't be eating oatmeal. Heathline says that oatmeal is most commonly eating for breakfast and being that it's one of the nutrient dense foods you can eat, it's no wonder why.

4. Spinach

This dark leafy green will keep your hair, skin, and bones in good shape according to Medical News Today. Spinach can also be a huge aid to your health if you suffer with an iron deficiency.

5. Potatoes

According to Live Science, one potato can provide almost half of your daily dose of vitamin C and help lower blood pressure.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
