If you're from Miami, you know it's filled with amazing things, but some of the most amazing is the food. No matter what part of Miami you are from you are sure to find something delicious. Now being in Tallahassee, however, there are not as many great options. In this list, I will inclose some of the things my eternally bored hungry freshman self craves 24/7.

1. Dim Sum.

If you know me, you know that it is no secret that I love me some dim sum. Not only does the food come out fast and hot, it also does not cost a whole lot either. If you are super hungry and super cheep (like me) then you will instantly fall in love with dim sum.

P.S. My favorite thing to get at dim sum are the soup dumplings

2. Matzah Ball Soup.

Living in a town where the Jewish population is hella small, you can imagine that there is absolutely no kosher restaurants or even delis! I think there might be one delis but I have never actually heard anything about it so I have no idea if it is good or not. *sigh*

3. Avocado Toast.

Yes, I am a basic white girl, and yes, I miss my fancy, extra af, avocado toast. What more is there to say other than Tallahassee knows nothing of the word brunch, and I am starting to miss a good Sunday, 11:30 chow.

4. My own cooking.

I live in a dorm currently, and there is not a lot of options for me to cook. Yes, there is a kitchen, but using it would mean I would have to stock up on literally everything. Pots, pans, eggs, flour, butter... The list goes on. Back at home, I would literally always cook for myself! I have made croissants, pasta (from scratch), ratatouille, honestly if you can name it I have probably tried to make it, or thought about it. In a dorm, I am basically chef microwave and thats it! Here is a picture of pasta I had made with some home made vodka sauce... Do not worry all the alcohol cooks out.

5. My mom's cooking.

This pretty much goes without saying. I miss my mom, and I miss her food. The picture I have chosen is probably one of my top favorite meals she makes. Chicken layered with a dreamy coating of hummus, topped with a beautiful sprinkling of bread crumbs and magic all resting on a bed of veggies is a dish that makes me swoon! Some other favorites (if I had to choose, because lets face it everything is delicious) would be her matzah ball soup, latkes, challah, pesto pasta, and pumpkin muffins.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
