On October 26, 2017, sweet songbird Demi Lovato…

And producer/social media icon DJ Khaled….

Announced that they would be touring North America together starting in February.

Now please do not get me wrong, I adore Demi Lovato. And have done so ferociously since the seventh grade. DJ Khaled, however, I’m less than enthused with. I just feel like this is a duo that sounds strange together, but I really hope I’m proven wrong. Until then, I thought it would be fun to find culinary combos that probably work better than these two.

1. Orange juice and toothpaste.

The number one way I manage to put a downer on my morning? Forgetting that I brushed my teeth and then taking a swig of OJ. Bitter and even slightly painful to the teeth, I wouldn’t say that Demi and Khaled are this bad, but I feel like they might come pretty darn close. (BTW, this is totally the face I make every time I make this mistake.)

2. Bananas on pizza.

This. Just. Doesn’t. work. Do not fight me. Dessert pizza with Nutella and banana? Heck yes. But I don’t think that is going to be the case with Demi and Khaled. I’m not seeing the Nutella that’s going to unify the two.

3. Pickles and peanut butter

Ah, the old rom-com, cliché, pregnancy craving. If you’ve ever tried this out of curiosity (I mean... I totally didn’t…nope) you know what I’m talking about. Vinegary pickles and smokey yet sweet peanut butter just don’t go well, sort of like Demi’s and Khaled’s discographies.

4. Peaches and barbecue sauce.

I did this by accident at a barbecue when the two touched on my plate. I thought it was going to be great and honestly, I was oh-so-wrong. I’m hoping that this tour goes the opposite, looking like a flop but being a huge phenomenon.

5. That giant mountain of sugar, syrup, and spaghetti Buddy the Elf eats in “Elf.”

Buddy, my sweet cinnamon roll, WHY DO YOU DESECRATE YOUR FOOD THE WAY YOU DO? Maybe Demi and Khaled will be a hit if they decide to make a stop to the North Pole.

But in all true seriousness, while I think that Demi and Khaled simply won’t work in theory, I wish the two all the luck in the world on their tour! Break a leg you two!

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
