You know how most people hate the dentist?
Well, I don't. I don't particularly like it, but I don't mind going. It doesn't pain me to go, and thankfully I'm never really scared to go. But, it's never something that I'm fully excited about doing.
That being said, I floss every day. Religiously. And there's a reason for that.
I had a root canal about a year ago, and it was honestly the worst pain that I've had in my entire life. I would take any pain other than that one.
So I've tried my hardest not to have another root canal. And I've tried to do that by flossing.
I wanted to be that person that could answer with "Of course I have" when the dentist tries to smugly ask if I've been flossing. Haha, take that!
But, I was thrown off the other day when a friend said that he's never flossed a day in his life and even more thrown off when he said that he has also never had a cavity either.
I love my teeth; I'm honestly downright obsessed with them. And I try to take really good care of them, hence my flossing. But, to hear that someone is cheating the system, choosing not to floss, and seemingly not receiving any repercussions for it, I'M BAMBOOZLED.
We've all been SMECKLEDORFED.
Why are we even flossing if other people are choosing not to and doing better than us?! What is happening in the world?!
Okay, maybe it's not quite that serious or intense but I am actually very concerned as to why my incessant flossing isn't putting me in the clear for no root canals or cavities.
All the money that I've paid for floss, I want it all back.
You know who I bet is the one that's telling us to floss? It's that fifth doctor that won't even recommend that good toothpaste.
Clearly his or her opinion isn't worth much anymore.
