You know you should be feeling something. It’s halfway into October and the sight of pumpkins makes you want to drink a PSL or warm apple cider. You watch a Halloween movie and yearn to go outside with your sweater on to enjoy the beautiful 65-degree weather.
Well that’s too bad, because you live in Florida.
Thankfully, here are five ways to learn to enjoy these months, without the traditional weather.
1. Wear An Orange Bathing Suit To The Pool
Nothing says fall like wearing the traditional color. As you sunbathe and jump in the pool to cool off, wearing your orange attire will at least remind you that it’s the middle of fall.
2. Get An Iced Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks
I’m not one to indulge in one of the most basic fall traditions, but if you are trying to, make sure to get the latte iced PSL, or even a Frappuccino. You don’t want to be carrying around a hot drink when its 90 degrees outside, get it together and get it iced.
3. Carve A Watermelon
This may sound a bit ridiculous to you, but it makes complete sense. Since our summer fruits are still abundant, use them to create something special. Bonus, when you carve the watermelon you have a healthy snack, as opposed to just pumpkin goop.
4. Dress Up As Literally Anything You Want Too.
I can remember having to base my Halloween costumes off of the weather when I lived up North, but now there is nothing to worry about! Chances are the temperature will be about 75 degrees Halloween night so you can really get away with anything, just keep it classy if you’re going to be around kids.
5. Might as well go to "Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween" or "Halloween Horror Nights"
Whichever intrigues you more! The theme parks do a really great job of getting you in the holiday spirit. Take advantage of this opportunity, it could be one of the only things that really brings the fall season into play.
