Through everything you have been through, all you need is a friend.

1. Their family is your family.


Everyone in their family knows you. When you aren't around, they ask about you and vice versa. Your parents can punish the other. Your crazy aunts are asking about her. The boyfriends have to go through you. Its all a huge thing where they are all your family and love you like the adopted child they never asked for.

2. Nobody else makes you laugh like a best friend.

If I had a dollar for every prank pulled on each other, I'd be a rich gal.Every time I thought something was behind me and then all of a sudden it was gone, because she stopped trying to scare the hell out of me. Not only the pranks. You can genuinely just have a good time with your best friend doing absolutely nothing but it feels like absolutely everything.

3. Quality over Quantity.

Your best friend isn't the person you've known the longest, but rather the person who you know the best. Sure a ten year friendship is a long time but when that friend stops talking to you because she moved away and got married, was she ever really a friend?

4. Whenever you're hurt, she's there to fix it.


If there's anything about my best friend that I appreciate the most is that she's also a protector. Maybe its the Scorpio in her. Anytime a girl was messing with, or if a guy broke my heart, I would have her there ready for action, whether we're trying to cry or get revenge : SHES THERE.

5. She'll love you through whatever, for forever.

Literally your best friend is your rock. Every single time you were crying over a guy, she was there for you to cry too. She was the one who held back the "I told you so" even when she did from the beginning. The first time...second time....and the last time. She loved you through every messy decision you made. Literally you can piss her off, drive her crazy, cuss her out, or anything, and through it all she will love you. You can make some crazy dumb decisions, you can do things that aren't safe, or you can just flat out screw up everything and she's there.

A title of a best friend can only mean so much. Best friends are family.
