For us seniors (supers count too), the holiday season is over, the final semester has arrived, and the countdown to graduation has begun. After, almost, a month of zero responsibility and stress, the cognitive dissonance is real, as you pack up your car (or hop on a plane) and head back to school for the last time.

The first week is like an emotional rollercoaster because, while you dread the dry lectures and homework, there's also the excitement of old friends, new friends, and the unforgettable memories you're about to make during the next four months.

Here are the 10 emotions of the first week of your last semester, as told by the characters of "New Girl."

1. Denial

Until you order your textbooks, homework isn't a thing. Class isn't a thing. College is not a thing. On the other hand, you also don't want to admit that you'll never feel this same sadness again.

2. Acceptance

There's no escaping it. This is your life. As they say, "suck it up buttercup."

3. Excitement

You're finally back with your favorite humans, and it seems like it's been decades. So much to catch up on, so many stories to exchange!

4. Regret

That 8 AM sounded great three months ago when you were willing to sell your soul in order to meet graduation requirements. Now? Not so much.

5. Determination

You WILL make it through the purgatory that is 8 AM classes and walking to class in the rain because warm weather and graduation are on the other side. Not to mention, your GPA is resting precariously on that philosophy class you put off until now.

6. Frustration

Excuse me, professor. I know you did not just start the first lecture on the first day of class. Does "syllabus day" mean nothing to you?

7. Sadness

While you refuse to listen to anyone who tells you "these are the best four years of your life," you know there's nothing that will ever replicate college, and you're not sure you're ready to move on.

8. Fear

Adulthood, independence, supporting yourself, and student loans begin in a matter of months.

9. Uncertainty

Has analyzing Shakespeare, achieving a 7-minute mile, and writing essays on why the chair doesn't actually exist prepared you for the real world? Maybe since the "real world" is a product of your subconscious, it doesn't matter anyway...

10. Anticipation

Regardless of the emotional rollercoaster that is the first week of your last semester, you're still super pumped and, deep down, very much ready to move on to the next phase of life. Because, let's be honest, you know you're gonna kick a*s post-grad.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
