So, you've finally turned the big two- one. Probably the most exciting birthday of your life, making just about every other birthday unnecessary from here on out. You can finally go to the bars, order a margarita at your favorite Mexican restaurant, and buy your own beer at the liquor store. Everything is perfect, life is great, nothing can go wrong. Or can it?

1. Your first bar experience.

Get ready bar scene, theres another 21 year old in the world! The first bar experience is the best! It's your birthday, all your friends are there, EVERYONE is buying you drinks, seriously don't underestimate a birthday crown, its gold. You think this is the best time of your life, nothing can get better.

2. The Monday after your birthday weekend.

You're hurting after the weekend, but your still on the high from your birthday so you don't even care. You still can't believe that you are actually finally 21 and that you can do that every weekend!

3. One week in.

The excitement hasn't worn off yet, you are ready to get out to the bars again Thursday- Sunday, who even needs a house party anymore?

4. Three weeks in.

Being 21 is tiring! You don't even remember what it feels like to not wake up hungover anymore, you need a break but FOMO keeps you from staying in one night.

5. One month of 21.

You've spent all your money on alcohol, your diet has consisted of pizza and McDonald's, you haven't slept in weeks, and your biggest workout lately has been walking between bars. Being 21, is hard and you have to learn balance, but it's going to be the funnest time of your life so far.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
