It's that time of year again! College students are hauling garbage bags full of sweaters, boots and heavy coats home for the summer because it's shorts season, baby! Time to put away the heavy blankets and pull out the beach towels. Maybe if we all dress like it's 80 degrees out, the sun will feel bad for our pale, wintery bodies and shed some heat on us. Even if that plan doesn't work, it's bound to get hot eventually, right?

Here are 10 thoughts you have the minute it turns warmer than 65 degrees outside.

1. "Sun... Is that you?!"

You know that feeling on the very first warm day of the year when you can comfortably step outside without a coat on, and the sun greets you like an old friend? Yeah, that's a great feeling. Just don't forget your SPF!

2. "How many days until summer break?"

At this point in the school year, you're probably doing whatever it is you have to do just to get by. Whether you're wearing your pajamas to class or you just used up your last excused absence for your least favorite class, just know summer is on its way!

3. "Bathing suit season is coming up and I'm still trying to lose my Thanksgiving-weight."

Say what you want about winter, but there's no denying the amount of comfort in being able to wear leggings and baggy sweaters every single day. Summertime means time to work on that summer bod!

4. "Maybe I should get off the couch and do something..."

It's easy to have no desire to go outside when the air is so cold it hurts your face. Who wants to go outside when the air hurts your face?! Warm weather brings excuses to go outside and be active, rather than sitting on the couch all day watching television like a summer-hater.

5. "Do I need a new summer wardrobe?"

The heat will make you second guess everything, like your entire wardrobe. Now don't go blowing your winter-savings on an entirely new closet, but don't be afraid to dip your toe into the pond of this season's latest trends. Go ahead and buy yourself some new sandals. It'll put you in a good mood.

6. "I could really go for some watermelon, sweet corn, strawberries, etc.."

Summertime means time for summer food! One of the best things about the hot months is that all of the best fruits and vegetables are in season and are at peak-freshness for consumption. And nothing is better than cold watermelon on a hot summer day!

7. "IT'S BASEBALL SEASON!!! Or should I say, BABE-ball season?"

Unpopular opinion coming from a girl from Indiana, but baseball is the best sport. There's just nothing quite like going to a game on a warm, sunny day and enjoying America's favorite pastime with friends and family. Also, have you seen Kris Bryant in baseball pants?!

8. "It's finally appropriate to drink iced coffee and go out for ice cream again!"

You know those looks your haters give you when you walk into work with an iced coffee and it's 20 degrees outside? Tell the haters to crawl back into their miserable holes because it is iced coffee season!

9. "It's a windows-down kind of day."

There are few things better than being able to roll your car windows down on a long drive or getting to comfortably sleep with your windows open. It's so nice to get a fresh gust of air to clear up any winter stuffiness.

10. "Man... I miss Christmastime"

Nothing will make you yearn for the holidays more than the blistering summer heat. Isn't that just how things go? When it's summer you want winter, and when it's winter you want summer. We as humans will never be satisfied. The blustery cold will be back before we know it. Enjoy the summer fun!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
