A typical Sunday afternoon is that you can find me at Starbucks with coffee in hand and writing paper after paper. Although this Sunday was different I was sitting at a table by myself with one of my headphones in, an older woman came over and sat down with me. She had light brown hair and the deepest blue eyes. She came and asked if I minded if she sat there. My response was of course not, the more the merrier. We got to talking and it led to where we couldn't stop. This woman gave me the most thoughtful and meaningful advice. She told me her whole life story and truly embodied what life is all about.
She explained to me that you need to fall in love with everything you encounter in life. Start with loving yourself. Loving yourself and being the best version of yourself that you can be every single day. Eat healthily, work out, and be kind to everyone. Go the extra mile and buy someone's coffee in the morning, you could make their whole day. Read that book you've been dying to read. Fall in love with life. Every morning look outside and take a look around you. Look at the sky. Be grateful to be waking up this morning to live another beautiful day. Be grateful that you are living another roller coaster of a day.
This woman made me think so different and so highly about life. Take the risks. Work hard in school, your job, and be positive. Failure is okay, and never give up. You will get to where you want to be with good work ethic and perseverance. God never gives you anything you can't handle. Never stop fighting through every struggle you encounter.
Love to love. Family, friends, significant other. In this life, you will find that love will be the most powerful and toughest thing that you will encounter within life. You will get hurt, you will feel defeated, but most importantly you will feel magical. The human race takes love to a whole new level. Forgive people. If you don't you may regret it. Talk to new people, build relationships, you never know where they could lead. Have an open and big heart, that is what will lead you to the absolute best of places, people, and experiences.
So as a wrap-up. Thank you for this extremely wonderful woman for coming up to me and having such a deep and meaningful conversation and her inspiring story. You never know what kind of people you are going to meet, what job you will end up at, or where you will be in ten years. But it all starts right now. Fall in love with you, your accomplishments, the amazing souls you have in your life, and never stop growing. Take a step back and realize how incredible you are. Be someone you want your kids to grow up like. Be someone that makes the world a better place. Do not take anything in this wild adventure called life for granted. Fall in love with being alive.
