By the time you're reading this, you'll probably be home. You'll probably be doing nothing or eating your mom's food. While you're reading this, I'm going to be in my dorm room doing absolutely nothing because I deserve this after the stress finals week was.
And just know that I should've been studying for my last final instead of writing this, but no! Here I am, bringing you some joyous words to your amazing holiday break. I'm not being bitter. In fact, I hope you're doing amazing.
But finals, yo. Those were a pain in the ass, especially when you get your final paper back after knowing you've done amazing on the test. Of course, we haven't addressed those ardent all-nighters you had to pull with your friends because there was just a lot of information for you to memorize.
And ah, those study guides. You just spent a lot of time adding information you thought was going to be in the final, when in fact, only one-third of your lecture was covered on the final—while the rest was on the notes you were allowed to put on your cheat sheet. So in the end, all your studying was pretty much for nothing.
Also, something amusing about finals week is how social you become. Before, you barely knew people from your classes. Now, you're in study groups meeting people and you know almost everybody! Or friends whom you barely spoke to are now hitting you up! Or you're getting more matches on your dating apps, and they all want to hang out, but you can't.
Is it me, or does finals week makes you more attractive? Both romantic and socially? I have no idea.
But the worst of it all, in my opinion, is this: you know you need to study, but you just can't bring yourself to. Like you just can't stop doing absolutely anything. Like whaaaaaat? See, this was me for most of the time. I'd just be in bed drawing, knowing that I needed to study. So instead of studying, I drew — but stressfully.
However, this mayhem is over, and you don't need to worry about this forsaken week until next quarter. Now you can go back to doing whatever you do to get yourself through your classes. Regardless of anything, I hope you get amazing grades in your finals and classes.
And I just wanted to end this with one last note: here's a candid gif of me bullshitting my way through finals with a couple hours of sleep.
