Finals Week As Told By Your 9 Favorite Hit Songs

As many people know it, songs are just these amazingly put together pieces of art that tell us a story that is both relatable and creative in their own way. This being said, it wouldn't be such a far-fetched assumption that while studying, with your earbuds in and your music playlist on shuffle, you could relate to some of the songs that you're listening to. When dead week hits, finals week approaches, and the academic year is ending, you may just find that some of these songs and song titles may just be what position you, or a student you know, have been in before:

1. "OMG" - Camila Cabello

The exact words, abbreviated or not, said out loud when you see how much stuff you have to do still before the school years ends.

2. "All Night" - Chance the Rapper ft. Knox Fortune

How long will you be studying for that exam? ALL NIGHT, BABY.

3. "Cough Syrup" - Young the Giant

After that (possible) all-nighter, your immune system may not be feeling too well; time to refill on that vitamins and Day or Night-quil! But hey, "life's too short to care at all", right?

4. "Meant to Be" - Bebe Rexha ft. Florida Georgia Line

That phrase you tell yourself as you calculate your final grades or GPA for the semester because if that B+, rather than A, in a class is "Meant to Be", why fight fate?*

*...as you cry inside.

5. "Distraction" - Kehlani

Even though you definitely do not need any more things taking your focus away, you still search for those distractions that feel good at the moment but come back at you when you're staying up all night writing that seven-page paper you knew was due.

6. "Break Your Heart" - Taio Cruz ft. Ludacris

When Ludacris raps his line:

"...now I may not be the worst or the best but you gotta respect my honesty.",

it pretty much sums up what how you feel your professors really want to write on their syllabus as you re-read it for anything extra you can do. Professors, you're so smart, but YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART.

7. "Life Changes" - Thomas Rhett

For those moments you realize you have all these responsibilities written in an hour-by-hour planner while drinking your 3rd coffee of the day...didn't we just have recess-time like, yesterday?

But in the end, when you walk up to that exam, you know that you are apologetically confident as you say...

9. "Sorry Not Sorry" - Demi Lovato

Rock your inner-Demi, you all GOT THIS.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
