Finals week is here and whether that means countless term papers or a cumulative exam in every class, everyone is just ready for the work to be done. And we'll get there one way or another. But, considering that you're reading this, you're probably taking a break. So, sit back and enjoy a brief description of finals week as told by the characters of "Parks and Recreation."
1. Looking at your schedule for the week before winter break.
There's nothing more depressing than a schedule so full that you anticipate missing several meals.
2. Writing a solid introduction paragraph for your final paper.
3. And deciding that this introduction is so good, you deserve a break.
Because, yes, your schedule is full and you probably won't sleep, but you just did some great work, and a quick mental breather is in order.
4. When your break lasts longer than expected.
You were going to just watch half an episode and then continue working, but then it turned into an eight episode binge-session. Looks like an all-nighter is in your future.
5. The feeling when you finish an exam and have no idea how you did.
Maybe the teacher will grade on a curve?
6. Feeling studious because your Snapchat story is 90% pictures of being in the library with your friends.
Unfortunately, 90% of your time in the library is choosing a perfect playlist and drawing on the white boards.
7. Walking out of the exam room, knowing you did a good job.
There is nothing more satisfying than knowing you got an A.
8. When your professor assigns both a final paper and an exam.
Why. Just why.
9. When you did well enough on the other tests that the professor says you don't have to take the final.
The biggest relief ever.
10. Trying to remember to eat the last few days before break.
You don't have time to go to the store and can't bring yourself to order pizza again.
11. Any mention of Christmas whatsoever.
So. Much. Excitement.
12. Finishing your last exam and turning in your last paper.
Happy holidays, everyone. You're almost there.
