It's time to grab your coffee, tissues, and notebooks because it's finals week! It's time to test your knowledge. It's time to see if you learned anything this semester. You may be guilty of calculating how many points you'll need on the final exam to pass the class (it's okay, we've all been there). The university may have sent out an email about dropping all courses, and you may ask yourself if it's still worth it. Your finals week probably is similar to this.

1. When you see all of the assignments that are due by the end of the week

You waited until the very last minute to start working on everything that's due at the end of the semester. Procrastination at its finest!

2. When you know that you have a final the next day, but the season finale of your favorite show comes on at 10:00 P.M.

Cs get degrees!

3. When it's the last day, but you wanna say one last thing to your professor

Whether they were a good professor or a bad professor, you're probably happy to be done with their class.

4. Your diet for the week is whatever you can put in the microwave

Not only are you trying to get rid of all the food in your apartment before break, but you also don't have time to go out or to make a big dinner. Our stomachs are going to hate us later.

5. You still can't believe that your professors are making you take finals

It's so rude that they're doing their job. It's so rude that they're making us call up what we learned throughout the course.

6. It's also that wonderful time of the year: Teacher evaluations!

Now you get to complain about the time your professor told you to put your phone away. How rude!

7. Turning in your last final before break

Congrats! You've survived finals week once again. Now you can enjoy the holidays!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
