Now that Dead Week is here, you can almost smell the tears you'll be crying during Finals Week. I could give you some of my own tips to survive these next two weeks, but they probably wouldn't be that helpful. I tend to spend more time complaining about studying, than actually studying. That being said, I've recruited the cast of New Girl to give us all some helpful tips for finals.

Find a quiet place to study to best avoid distractions.

The stress of studying can easily get to you, and you don't want to end up lashing out at someone because their voice was interrupting your quiet study time.

Don't overthink the material too much!

I know you want to react the way Winston did, but it won't be that bad. You already know the material, you just have to remember it! Don't complicate it any more than you have to.

If you have a final paper instead of an exam, you also shouldn't overthink that either.

Just focus on writing good material, and then go back to try and meet the word/ page requirement. Most times professors will look for good quality material that shows you understand the topic and not focus on the set requirements too much.

It's okay to take quick study breaks to hangout with your friends though.

If you spend ALL of your time with your nose pressed between the pages of your textbooks this week you're going to go insane. Study breaks are good when used in moderation.

Everyone tends to get sick around finals so if you start feeling gross remember this: Look good, feel good.

That being said, maybe try wearing something other than sweatpants to your exams, just to boost your confidence. If you have absolutely no idea what you're doing at least you'll look good.

Find people in your classes to study with.

They might know how to explain that concept you've been struggling with. Even if they don't, you can complain about the course together.

Stay calm.

No matter how hard your finals may seem while studying, you could surprise yourself with how much you actually know!

Try to get as much sleep as possible.

You won't retain any material if your brain is too tired to function. Make sure your door is locked though so no one can interrupt you.

If all else fails just panic moonwalk away from your problems.

You might not do well on your finals, but at least you'll look cool running away from them.

When your finals are FINALLY over you can grab all your friends and dance out any remaining stress.

These next two weeks will be rough, but if you follow the tips above you should be just fine. Good luck on your exams, you're all going to crush it!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
