It’s finally here, guys. The end of the year. To the seniors in high school out there, you'll be graduating soon. An exciting time for anyone. Colleges are starting to have the end of their classes with many professors realizing they haven’t even taught us half the syllabus. Many of us are scrambling to get in those final papers and extra credit assignments, all of those made by blood sweat and tears.
With finals approaching and the end of the year coming about we can always realize a few truths about this year: what you want to do in life, who you want to be as person, friends you want to have. If anyone’s in a relationship you will probably be pondering whether you want to stay together over the summer. I think I can say by the end of the year that I know who my true love is, someone I can really spend the rest of my life with I think. Their name?
We met while I was a freshmen in high school. Nothing too serious maybe meeting up with each other once or twice a month. It didn’t really start to get serious until my junior year when I was taking an AP course plus honors. I realized I needed it more and more in my life. And so I accepted it. It has been my most serious relationship lasting me about three years. We still love each other dearly. It wakes me up every morning and puts a smile on my face. I don’t know what I would do without it. I know when I don’t have coffee in my life that I can’t function. I get headaches and dream about when I can see it again
And now as finals quickly approach I can tell you that it has definitely gotten much more serious. After my roommate goes to bed it is still here for me with just a press of a button on my Keurig spending late nights together, soothing my stress and headaches away. Finals as every college student can attest are no laughing matter. And although they say to get a lot of sleep I know not many of us will. So with the start of finals I say good bye to sleep and hello to love.
