It's that time of the year again.
Finals.
Where people will be living in the library, living on five minutes of sleep, running on coffee and energy drinks, having little to no social life, and will be stressed out to the max. Honestly, I can't wait for finals to be over with. It's not my favorite thing to do. There is a process that I go through during this time of the semester.
1. The moment that I realize that finals is in a couple weeksIt hits you like a ton of bricks. This is the period of time where everything seems to be due. I have to get that done before I can even start studying for my finals. Some of it's my fault though. I knew about the assignment for awhile, and should have started earlier than I should have.
2. I start studying.
At this point, I don't even know where to begin. There is so much to look at.
3. Reward.
I could do the bare minimum, and will still be proud that at least I did something. I go straight to my bed, eat food, and watch Netflix once I'm done.
4. Now, I'm down to one week left.
And I still have a lot to do. Between finishing homework that is due during this week, and study for all the exams that I have the following week. It's a stressful week, and I try not to think about it as much as possible.
8. Motivation
I finally get the motivation to do my homework and study for exams. I don't know where I got the motivation, but do I care? No. Am I going to take advantage of it? You bet.
9. Slowly, the motivation starts to fade, and distraction replaces it.
Before finals, I already get easily distracted. In all honesty, studying isn't my favorite thing to do. So, I find myself getting easily distracted. It could be something like Netflix or social media, or something small like a pen. Eventually, I stop studying all together.
10. Finals are finally here.
No matter how long I study for, when the professor hands me the test, my mind seems to go blank. Eventually, I get into a grove of things, but there are those questions that get me every time that I don't remember learning.
10. But
I don't want to hear your negativity. I'm proud for trying. All I can do now is hope for the best, and that I studied the right things.
11. Now, I can celebrate.
Everything is turned in. Your semester is done. Now, you get to go home, and enjoy a well deserved break.
12. Then you see your grades.
Good or bad, there is nothing that I can do about my grades now. whether I like it or not. The semester is done.
Overall, finals is a super stressful time, but remember;
