Sometimes I wish I can pause life, even just for a few seconds, so I can collect my thoughts. There aren't nearly enough hours in the day. Sadly, life doesn't stop for anyone. And because of that, it's easy to get overwhelmed. At times I feel that I have so much going on that I forget to look out for myself.
I'm still growing as a person. Every day I learn new things, which I absolutely love. Knowledge is one of the best things you can feed your brain and it's important to stay educated, especially in today's world.
But between homework, exams, work, and trying to have a social life, sometimes I don't have time for myself. Actually, most of the time I don't have time for myself, which isn't good. It's easy to get overwhelmed, and that's completely normal and okay. As young adults, this is the time where we truly develop into who we were born to be. Whether you have a strong work-ethic or a passion you want to follow, now's the time to take action.
It's not until the end of the day when I'm laying in bed that I get to think about all of the events that just happened during the day and the things I would and wouldn't do differently. Even though I don't have time to do things I'd really like to do now, I know that all of my hard work in school is going to pay off eventually. So how are you supposed to figure yourself out and achieve your goals when your life is actually crazy and you have no time? Personally, I like to make lists.
I feel that making a list is a great way to put your thoughts down. If you write a list of your goals and everything that you want to achieve, it truly helps. But if you're more of a visual person, there are other ways to do it. Pinterest can be a great outlet- you can simply create a board of things you like!
Don't let life discourage you. Every day we grow, even when we don't realize it. As long as we learn from our past mistakes and strive to achieve the goals we set for ourselves, we can figure ourselves out, even when life is a mess. It's important to try and live in the moment and feel connected with ourselves, rather than worrying about the way-future.
