Ionna Sigma was a heathenish ruler, yet, how did she gain respect among our population?

Regarding the Xenophilic Empress Ionna Sigma: I was not alive during her reign, but I still wonder who would have been worse on the throne, herself or her Delta Yin sister, Princess Semele. At the very least, her Graceless despised the planet known as Terra. And one could not help but wonder, was Ionna Sigma not a Delta herself as her twin was? A yang, but a Delta nonetheless? There have been reports of her shedding tears after Cyrus, Prince Imperial, was slain by Semele, but the rest of the Imperial family had dismissed these claims as rumors began by Semele to undermine her sister's power.

Regardless of my personal opinions, how, must I ask, did Ionna Sigma gain so much power and approval? Some claim that she had the power of Mind Control. Nonsense, of course, since those born with said power are barred from holding government positions. That, and the people of Terra are rather idiotic. Once a being not from their world visits and displays the abilities they lack, they are treated as some kind of deity. Utter nonsense. But, the people here of Virgo are not so easily fooled. What we lack in bodily strength, we make up for with our powerful minds, but how is it she swayed them? How?

My theory? Ionna Sigma had the power to manifest herself in another's mind, a rare ability, not in the sense of it being one exclusive to the Imperial line, others have had it. Through a venture into the historical archives, the number had only come up to a few dozen omicron. Such a power earns respect among the ranks the individual belongs to, and for an empress regent, a valuable tool. Yet, through careful study of Ionna Sigma's bloodline, I found no individuals before her possessing such an ability. Therefore an object had to be the source. I have read reports of Ionna Sigma keeping a foundling peridot crystal in her possession. Before the sisterhood could confiscate it upon her death, however, it was reported that she had it shattered, but no shards remained about the palace. The servants reported that the only clue they had was "Souls of Ones I Trust and Care For."

Perhaps this means she had a way of planting them in the souls of her descendants, save Prince Horus, who had control of the colony on Terra. Unfortunately, there is no way to probe for them. We of the Sisterhood of Reason know nothing of souls, many of us think it useless. The mind is the place of reason and logic, and reason and logic are above all things. However, later generations of the Ionna Sigma's bloodline have been exhibiting the manifestation power. All were searched, but they possess no peridot within their households or on their person. Perhaps it is time, my fellow Sisters, to conduct research on the "soul", lest we lose any grip we have on the Imperial Family and the rest of the constellation. These individuals, especially those of the Delta affliction, are dangerous, and could serve as symbols of insurgence and confidence to the Delta class, and they must know and remain in their place in order for our Imperial creed of reason and logic to remain in its place.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
