I'll admit that I'm a huge procrastinator; I believe a majority of us are. Yet, there are days that, even as a procrastinator, feel completely wasted. So how do you go about salvaging a day where you feel you may have already wasted it? I've done a few things here and there that usually make me feel more at ease before I go to sleep. Here are some things that make me forget about my failure of taking advantage of time.
1. Read a book
What? A book?! This may not be for everyone but since I'm an avid reader, I find reading at least 10 pages before finishing that wasted day gives me some comfort. You can learn anything within 10 pages. Or maybe not but it's still something.
2. Clean your room
Turn on some music, dance around and clean some of that messiness. Believe it or not, it can be fun; especially, if you have the right music.
3. Or rearrange the furniture in your room
This one is in case you're one of those super clean and tidy people. Just please don't mount certain furniture atop each other.
4. Put your coloring skills to work
Did you read that right? Yes, you did. I know, it seems a little childish but there are actually coloring books made specifically for stress relief. Since you're so stressed about how you wasted a whole day, click here for a coloring book that will help spark your creative side again.
5. Reflect
If you can't make yourself do something then just sit and think about how you got here. I know it sounds all dark and gloomy but the truth is, if you reflect on a day where you did nothing, you may just find ways to avoid those type of days in the future.
Either way, you finish the day with something learned. Doesn't really sound like a waste then does it?
