Halloween has passed by, and that can only mean one thing. Thanksgiving is here. I love sitting around the table with my extremely large extended family and eat food. Especially when each family brings their own dishes. I’ve compiled a list of my ten favorite dishes/foods served.
1. Turkey
Honestly, what is Thanksgiving without turkey? It’s the main course at the event, and it’s what everyone thinks of when someone says Thanksgiving.
2. Junk Salad
So you may not know what this is. It’s a dish that my mom’s family made when she was young and she continued it with my family. It is literally the BEST dessert I have ever had. Mix fruit with some marshmallows, and you are in for the time of your life.
3. Sweet Potatoes
I absolutely love sweets, and this is no exception. Brown sugar and marshmallows on top? Count me in.
4. Mashed Potatoes
I cannot tell you how much mashed potatoes I consume during Thanksgiving. Especially with some butter? And gravy? My mouth is salivating already.
5. Pecan Pie
Like I said before, I love sweets. My grandma makes the best pecan pie known to man, and it is by far my go-to pie at Thanksgiving. Add a little whip cream, and voila. Heaven.
6. Stuffing
What’s Thanksgiving without a little stuffing? (Ha, get it? No? Okay.)
7. Dinner Rolls
I LOVE ME SOME BREAD. The Hawaiian rolls are the best kind, and when you add a little butter and honey, it tastes sweet to my tummy. (Hey, that rhymed.)
8. Pumpkin Pie
It’s fall, so of course pumpkin is a must. And again, with whipped cream. Honestly, what is pie without whipped cream?
9. Salad
I guess I should talk about some healthy stuff that is eaten at Thanksgiving dinner. But seriously, I love salad. Don’t @ me.
10. Corn
Normally people would say that green beans are their favorite during this holiday, but eh. Corn is much sweeter and more rich if you ask me.
So there you have it. My top ten favorite foods at Thanksgiving dinner. I hope you feel the same about some of them. If not, well. Not my problem.
