Music is something I cannot live without. When I am having a great day, a bad day, or something in between, I always listen to music. I find it very therapeutic, and I know many people feel the same way. But because almost everyone loves some form of music, it will always be that thing that not everyone agrees on.

People are always going to disagree on which songs or which albums are the best or the worst because everyone has their own style that they relate to the most. But I feel that people should never say "that song is bad" because there is no such thing as a bad song, it is just a song that you don't necessarily like as much as someone else does. Everyone expresses themselves in their own way through music, which is why no one's playlist is going to be identical to someone else's.

But as September closed, I thought I would reflect on the two albums that made this month complete for me. There is no better feeling than some of your favorite artists releasing new music, and I was lucky enough to have two of mine release albums in the same month!

So if you have heard any of these albums, then I hope you are as happy as I am, but if you haven't heard them, I recommend that you give them a listen. So here are my opinions of the albums "A Moment Apart" by Odesza and "Awake" by Illenium.

1. Odesza- "A Moment Apart"

This album, which was released on September 8, was everything I needed and more. I was still settling into the first couple of weeks back at school, and this was the perfect album to help me relax and uplift my spirits amidst the stresses of coming back to school.

But there is something about some of the songs that makes me feel sad as well as calm. It is almost as if the songs force you to acknowledge all the overwhelming emotions inside your head, but then help you to release these stresses as you continue to listen to more.

The album then concludes with "Corners Of the Earth", which takes you into a harmonious state with yourself and reminds you of the people who you chose to love and spend your time on this Earth with. Although I recommend listening to the whole album from start to finish, some songs that are especially worth a listen are "Higher Ground", "Boy", "Line of Sight (feat. WYNNE & Mansionair)", "Across the Room (feat. Leon Bridges)", and "Thin Floors and Tall Ceilings".

2. Illenium- "Awake"

Illenium makes some of the most beautiful music that I have ever heard in my life. His music has the power to make anyone have a strong emotional connection to any song he makes, while also producing an amazing beat that you can't help but love.

He had released a few tracks before releasing the whole album, so everyone knew that the album was going to be amazing before it came out. But it was released as the perfect wrap up to September, with feelings of love and pain, while also instilling hope for the future. I promise you that this is an album you will never forget because these songs will always be there to pick you up when you are feeling down.

Again, if you don't listen to the whole album, then the songs that you should listen to are "Crawl Outta Love (feat. Annika Wells)","Lost (ft. Emilie Brandt)", "Beautiful Creatures (ft. MAX), and my personal favorite,"Leaving".

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
