Fashion tends to repeat itself, sometimes for best but unfortunately, also for the worst. I'm sure we've all made some sort of "fashion mistake" before, but the least we can do is learn from it and move on. However, some of us can't and refuse to move on. This is a list of just a few fashion trends that make me beg the simple question of, "Why?"
Chunky Flip Flops
The image speaks for itself.
A popped collar on a polo shirt (or in this case, several polo shirts), was once used by frat boys to obtain a "preppy" look.
Reminds me of middle school...
Low Rise Jeans
They're just so unflattering and should have been left in the early 2000s.
Business in the front and party in the back is NOT the move.
We can't stop our moms from giving us bad hair cuts as kids, but we can stop them from continuing into adulthood.
I'm sure you saw this coming, but let me just say, the prime reason these made the list is because I remember when they were in Walmart and now some of them sell for over $50, and for what reason? Not to mention, there are several different types of Crocs, some even worse than the ones pictured above.
You'd think something with the word "kitten" in it would be cute, but these are the complete opposite. Some may argue that this excuse of a heel is more comfortable than taller heels, but no level of comfort could convince me to wear something that looks like I stuck a pencil eraser to the bottom of a sandal.
We wish we could forget. They're basically gloves for your toes. The fashion industry took it one step farther when they invented toe SHOES, even a more heinous fashion crime.
Teva Ugg Sandals
I just recently found out these existed and needless to say, I'm very confused. These sandals look like the boot you get at the hospital after breaking your foot.
Some people may love this trend, but I can’t get behind it.
Ahh... I smell the 80s.
