7 Fall Fashion Trends To Add To Your Style

Sweater weather is a must.

From a girl who absolutely lives at the mall and feels like she's absolutely thriving while wearing something new for the first time, autumn is arguably one of the best times for fashion. The weather starts to be crisp and you can smell the fresh scent of a bonfire somewhere in the neighborhood. The holiday cups at Starbucks start making their appearance, holiday music starts playing (a little too early) on the radio; everything is putting you in the holiday spirit.

And if you're anything like me, the outfit you have on is for sure going to make or break your day and it's super easy for it to make your day with the perfect fall outfit.

1. Boots

With the perfect pair of boots, anything seems possible. Whether they are knee-high boots or little booties, they can be the finishing touch to any outfit. Also, in the summer, we have to worry about what our toes look like and I don't know about you, but I'm not one to get a pedicure often, so either my toes are painted by me (yikes!) or not painted at all. And with boots comes fuzzy socks! My favorite part of fall and winter is the fuzzy socks I can wear to keep my feet warm and cozy!

2. Sweaters

"Sweater Weather" isn't just a song by The Neighbourhood. It's one of the many amazing aspects of fall fashion. All that Thanksgiving stuffing is definitely gonna make me bloated, thank goodness for oversized sweaters to act as if Thanksgiving overeating never happened.

3. Plaid/Flannel

Flannel Friday turns into Flannel Every Day. It can look good either buttoned up or thrown over your favorite band T-shirt. Plaid goes with jeans and, of course, leggings (leggings go with everything.) Either way, it's extremely comfortable and trendy.

4. Scarves

As we are faced with the abominable cold, one of the few options we have to protect our neck and faces are the cozy wool scarves, that are also a great fashion statement.

5. Dark Lipstick

Dark lipsticks can tie any fall outfit together. I'm always finding an excuse to wear lipstick, even if my outfit is a complete mess. Find me in my early classes wearing a sweatshirt and leggings, but rocking (or at least attempting to) the matte, dark lipstick.

6. Tights

Dry skin is a big part of the weather getting colder and moisturizing can be hard to remember, especially when it comes to your legs. This is when tights become a blessing when you want to wear a dress. And they look super cute!

7. Hot Beverage

Where would we be if we didn't have a hot beverage to warm us up as we face the tundra on the way to class? This is a major part of my fall outfit.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
