Falls Is Upon Us! 6 Reasons Why We Love It

With fall finally upon us, we are trading in our short-shorts and tank tops for jeans and the oh so popular infinity scarves. The hype of summer is melting away and the excitement for fall trends is in full force.

We are ready to move onto the season of hibernation, trendy outfits, Starbucks obsessions and football. In the spirit of the leaves changing colors and dropping temperatures, here are six simple joys we can all indulge in.

1. The campus-wide infatuation with Starbucks. No fall outfit is complete without the proper accessory -- the Starbucks cup. Not only does it bring a warm feeling during the adjustment to the brisk weather, it is the prefect touch to that Pinterest perfect outfit we are all guilty of wanting.

2. Pumpkin patch excursions. What is fall without taking a trip to the pumpkin patch, snapping some super cute pictures with your girls and then attempting to carve the most creative design. I think we can all agree that carving a pumpkin is more work than fun. I tend to stick with the original triangle eyes and one tooth design.

3. The boys' favorite holiday of them all, Halloween. Whether you're going for the sexy nurse look or the cute kitty, you're guaranteed to blend in with every other girl on campus even with the shortest of shorts.

4. Adios bikinis, hello hibernation and big sweaters! The relief of not having to see yourself in a bikini has finally come. Here's to the few months we have of stuffing our faces and feeling bloated because what can a big sweater not hide?

5. Football, football, and more football. Some of us may be those fans who leave the game after we've had your few moments of cheering, or the fans who sit in front of the TV looking like we're watching the game, but we are really there for the food. Regardless, football season provides an opportunity each week to enjoy good food and drinks, along with the company of others.

6. The perfect fall outfit. Boots, jeans, sweaters, scarves and beanies -- the essentials for the perfect fall outfit. Walking to class has never felt better as you strut your stuff in your fashionable, but warm get up.

Sooner than you know it, we'll be saying bye-bye to fall and hello to winter. So as the blissful season of fall approaches us, remember to take in the beauty it has to offer.

Now that Halloween is over, it's time to focus on the Holiday Season. Don't get me wrong, I think Thanksgiving is great and can't wait for it, but nothing gives me greater joy than watching Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas, lighting peppermint scented candles, decking the halls, and baking gingerbread cookies. So while we approach the greatest time of the year, let's watch the 15 best Christmas movies of all time.

6 Signs You Are An English Major

There are various stereotypes about college students, most of which revolve around the concept of your major. Unfortunately, we often let stereotypes precede our own judgments, and we take what information is immediately available to us rather than forming our own opinions after considerable reflection. If I got a dollar for every time my friends have made a joke about my major I could pay my tuition. One stereotype on campus is the sensitive, overly critical and rigid English major. Here are six telltale signs you are one of them.

27 Things 'The Office' Has Taught Us

"The Office" is a mockumentary based on everyday office life featuring love triangles, silly pranks and everything in between. It can get pretty crazy for just an average day at the office.

When you were little, your parents probably told you television makes your brain rot so you wouldn't watch it for twelve straight hours. However, I feel we can learn some pretty valuable stuff from television shows. "The Office," while a comedy, has some pretty teachable moments thrown in there. You may not know how to react in a situation where a co-worker does something crazy (like put your office supplies in jello) but thanks to "The Office," now you'll have an idea how to behave ifsomething like that should happen.

Here are just a few of the things that religious Office watchers can expect to learn.

Being pre-med is quite a journey. It’s not easy juggling school work, extracurricular activities, volunteering, shadowing, research, and MCAT prep all at the same time. Ever heard of “pain is temporary, but GPA is forever?” Pre-meds don’t just embody that motto; we live and breathe it. Here are 10 symptoms you’re down with the pre-med student syndrome.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

Books were always about understanding for me, about learning the way someone else sees, about connection.

High School And College Sucked All Of The Fun Out Of Reading

I keep making this joke whenever the idea of books is brought up: "God, I wish I knew how to read." It runs parallel to another stupid phrase, as I watch my friends struggle through their calculus classes late at night in our floor lounge: "I hope this is the year that I learn to count." They're both truly idiotic expressions, but, when I consider the former, I sometimes wonder if there's some truth to it.
