Why Fall Is The Best Season Of The Year

Leaves, pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters, riding boots, a cool breeze, and football season. Of course, we all know it's FALL. The season that we've been waiting for since that first snowflake hit the ground. It's the season that has the most variation where it's not too cold and it's not too hot.

It's by far the best season of the year and I'm going to tell you why.

1)It's the start of football season.

This means it's also tailgating season. Spend your weekend outside under tents with a barbecue and get ready to watch the game. You get to spend your weekends getting tipsy with your best friends before you watch your favorite team win.

2) You can snuggle up in warm clothing.

Time to get out your riding boots, vests, sweaters, and scarves. This has to be the cutest season to dress for. It's also fantastic shopping season with Black Friday and Cyber Monday right around the corner.

3) Time for bonfires.

Sitting around a fire as it gets dark with your friends is an ideal fall night. Not to mention roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. It's also perfect cuddle season which means a boyfriend is ideal. But if that's unrealistic I'm sure your friends wouldn't mind cuddling with you instead.

4) Halloween

Time for costume parties, halloween candy and Hocus Pocus. If this isn't one of your favorite holidays, you must be doing it wrong. Welcome to the season where girls are aloud to dress in whatever they want and not be judged (well maybe).

5) PUMPKIN SPICE LATTES and HOT CHOCOLATE

Yes. You've heard me right. PSL season is back. The season all white girls have actually been waiting for. Pumpkin spice everything because Starbucks knows what they're doing. Of course you can't forget about hot chocolate, I'm pretty sure you can get that pumpkin spice flavored as well.

6) Carving pumpkins and hayrides.

The opportunities are endless at the pumpkin patch. From small pumpkins to big pumpkins with all the designs, you can spend hours keeping yourself busy on a fall night before halloween. Head on over to the pumpkin patch and pose in front of some corn stalks and bam--you have an Instagram picture. You can also keep yourself busy by going on a hayride or finding your way through a maze.

7) Thanksgiving

Because your girl likes to eat: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, veggies, and pumpkin pie. This is the season you're likely to gain a few pounds but that's okay because you have all that baggy clothing to cover it up.

8) Leaves, leaves, and more leaves.

One of my favorite parts is walking through the street and hearing the crunchy noises under my feet as I step on the fallen leaves. There are so many beautiful colors on the ground and in the trees; you are bound to have an Instagram picture.

9) The Weather

With the crisp air lingering around you, you'll to want to be outside. Take a walk through the park and rake some leaves. It's a perfect time to be outside because the cool air and beautiful scenery.

10) Candles.

Bath and body works has it going on. If you don't get excited for the release of fall candles and 2 for $22 there must be something wrong with you. They have some of the best scents to make your room smell amazing during the season including scents like pumpkin pie, leaves, pumpkin spice of course, and so many more.

If you aren't convinced that fall is the best season of the year you might need to re-evaluate what's going on for you. Nah, I'm kidding. But really fall is probably the best season and I get so excited for it every single year.

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months. But, then you get that text saying, "Hey, clear your schedule next weekend, I'm coming up" and you begin to flip out. Here are the emotions you go through as your best friend makes her trip to your house.

Kourtney Kardashian

Winter break is over, we're all back at our respective colleges, and the first week of classes is underway. This is a little bit how that week tends to go.

The professor starts to go over something more than the syllabus

You get homework assigned on the first day of class

There are multiple group projects on the syllabus

You learn attendance is mandatory and will be taken every class

Professor starts chatting about their personal life and what inspired them to teach this class

Participation is mandatory and you have to play "icebreaker games"

Everybody is going out because its 'syllabus week' but you're laying in bed watching Grey's Anatomy

Looking outside anytime past 8 PM every night of this week

Nobody actually has any idea what's happening this entire week

Syllabus week is over and you realize you actually have to try now...or not

Now it's time to get back into the REAL swing of things. Second semester is really here and we all have to deal with it.

panera bread

Whether you specialized in ringing people up or preparing the food, if you worked at Panera Bread it holds a special place in your heart. Here are some signs that you worked at Panera in high school.

1. You own so many pairs of khaki pants you don’t even know what to do with them

Definitely the worst part about working at Panera was the uniform and having someone cute come in. Please don’t look at me in my hat.

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.
