Fall brings many happy seasons and holidays. The weather starts to change and sweater weather arrives. Here are some of the all-time best ways to get you into the fall season.

1.  Apple picking

Grab some friends and find an apple orchard on the weekend. This is a perfect and cheap way to have fun and get into the fall season. You can take some great pictures and be able to spend some time in nature, while having a tasty treat.

2. Ordering a fun drink at Starbucks

One of my favorite things to do in the fall time, is to spice up my usual coffee order. For example, you can go classic with the Pumpkin Spice Latte or go for something new like the Salted Caramel Mocha. If something like that is too sugary, you can always keep it simple by adding some cinnamon to your usual order.

3. Decorate

Add some decorations to your room! Even buying one pumpkin, plastic or real, will be sure to help you smile through the chilly months. Also, the pumpkin works for both October and November, so you are set for both months.

4. Bundle up

Try to cozy up in your softest sweaters to fight against the chilly winds. One of the best parts of fall is being able to create an entirely new style and staying warm at the same time.

5. Stay inside

Although, its great to explore the outdoors. Sometimes, you need some hot cocoa and a good book to truly relax. This is one of the best parts about fall. You can watch the leaves change, without having to step outside.

6. Invest in some fuzzy socks

When you bundle up for the fall time, don't forget your feet! Invest in some orange or brown fall time socks to get you in the mood for the season. Feet play a vital role in regulating our body temperature, which is even more reason to keep them nice and toasty.

7. Collect some fall leaves

Okay, so this might be a little basic, but still a fun staple activity for fall. Get some friends to join you and collect some leaves (maple are the best) from the ground, you can take some cute pictures or use them to improve on your decorations for your room. If you are feeling extra artsy, you can create a collage and arrange the leaves in a picture frame and hang it up on your wall. The perfect homemade way to spice up your space.

8. Visit a pumpkin patch

The final fall activity is fairly obvious, but still truly timeless. No matter, how many times you have done this, it never gets old. It's a great way to find some cute (or maybe odd) pumpkins and squashes with some friends or family. This activity will help cheer you up and never fails to put everyone in a great mood.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
