It is that time of the year where I dream of cooler days. Being in Florida in the middle of fall usually means that it is still summer, no matter which way you look at it. Don't let the cute fall T.J Maxx decorations fool you, it's still a solid 86 degrees throughout the day. Below is a compilation of thoughts I'm sure every Floridian has had at some point during this fall season.

Walking to class with beads of sweat forming on your forehead.

Sweater weather for your 8 a.m. class but mid-summer weather as soon as 11 a.m. comes around.

Wanting to roast marshmallows but settling for fro-yo instead.

Hitting up the pool to cool off after a long day in class.

Not being sure whether you should switch out your tank tops for your sweaters in your closet.

Your car's A/C is never cool enough to beat the heat.

Hydration is key when walking around campus.

Forcing yourself to take pumpkin patch pictures in flannel to make it look like it's cooler weather.

Really wanting to wear fuzzy holiday socks but it's just too hot for that.

Hoping it doesn't rain because rain brings on horrible humidity.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
