Fall is now among us, and for those of you who like to have that Halloween feel in September (which is most of us), there are 5 very important things that you need to in order to maximize and fulfill your Fall home-y feeling. We'll jump from decorations to fashion, from food to drinks, and from bibbidy to bobbidy (BOO).

1. Halloween decorations are appropriate in September.

Come September 1st, even though it's not officially Fall yet, it's close enough. This is a fantastic opportunity to pull out those lights, the scary masks to hang on the walls and doors, the lively battery-operated hands that crawl, and of course the front yard decorations. Make your house or apartment a dark but comfortable place to relax. The pumpkin scented candles are always a must, and easily make a room smell sweet.

2. Clothes! Clothes! Clothes!

Once the weather begins to cool down (here in Florida, that has yet to happen), wearing your favorite cozy clothes becomes a norm. Fall makes a great time to fashion leggings with long-sleeve blouses or t-shirts and scarves, combat boots and jewelry, and even dark nails or hair colors. A personally satisfying thing that I do each year is dye my hair to go with the seasons and the weather accordingly: lighter with blonde in the spring and summer, darker for the fall and winter.

3. Baking yummy foods.

One of my personal favorites, pumpkin bread, is such a good housewarming food (literally) for a get-together or a special event. Not only does pumpkin bread spice up the smell of the home, but it's a better choice over that Halloween candy. For now…

Home-made applesauce with its' cinnamon-y smell, sugar cookies with the patterns on the top, pumpkin pie as a dessert after a hefty meal, the list goes on and on.

4. Pumpkin flavored drinks.

To my fellow coffee addicts, September brings with it pumpkin flavored beverages at Starbucks and surrounding locations. Having a gold card will really help you out this year with free drinks every 125 stars - not that I'm counting or anything.

For those that aren't pumpkin people, there are plenty of other chocolate or vanilla options and tea. Even pastries and lunch meals. You'll never not have a myriad of choices.

5. Halloween makeup, costumes, trick-or-treating and parties.

Because such a wide span of people prefer this to that, this staple is open to lots of different things. Halloween makeup is fun to buy and experiment with. Creating horror scenes or faces/masks can be very artistic and real, and will trip up a lot of people. Costumes bring out the fun in the child we all have in us, going to houses and scooping up candy from strangers. Parties are fun when you can dress up as someone you're not and play for a day.

If Fall isn't your favorite time of year, jump on the bandwagon and come to see why it's so amazing. Join us on the dark side and become one of us (spoooooky). There's not much that beats these wonderful traditions!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
