After the summer concerts and beach visits come to an end, it can be hard to find things to do or places to go with your significant other. This list is designed for dates for all: those who can afford to splurge, those who like to stay in, those who have the means to travel. Enjoy!

1. Get tickets for a sporting event.

Personally, I'm a huge football fan. But the truth is, you can get tickets to whichever kind of sporting event you prefer!

2. Go apple picking.

3. Go pumpkin picking.

4. Bake together!

5. Hike through a scenic area.

6. Enjoy a picnic at a local park.

7. Go camping and/or make a fire outside.

8. Visit a haunted house.

9. Carve and/or decorate pumpkins.

10. Go for a ride to see fall foliage.

11. Check out local fairs or pick a day to go to the Big E!

12. Find orchards or other places that may offer hay rides.

13. Watch a movie at a drive-in.

14. Plan a day trip to your nearest large city.

15. If you already live in the city, plan a day trip to explore the country!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
