If you're lucky enough to live in the northern states, you're blessed to live in a geographic location with four seasons. While the northern folks might take the four seasons for granted (because who likes winter anyways?), fall is a favorite season for many. From weekend trips to the cider mill or Freeform's (ABC Family) 13 Nights of Halloween or the beauty of the falling red, orange and yellow leaves falling before our eyes, there's nothing quite like fall. For many, fall entails a few months to check everything off your fall bucket list.
1. Go to a cider mill and eat fresh donuts and drink fresh warm or cold apple cider.
2. Go to a pumpkin patch.
3. Carve a pumpkin.
4. Go to a haunted house.
5. Wear flannel.
6. Watch Halloween movies, especially Freeform's (ABC Family) 13 Nights of Halloween.
7. Go to a tailgate and then finish the night off with a football game--whether it's your high school or college, fall isn't complete without a football game under your belt.
8. Get lost in a corn maze, especially a haunted corn maze.
9. Go apple picking.
10. Eat pumpkin or apple pie--better yet, eat both.
11. Jump in a pile of leaves--maybe this is for kids, but who doesn't remember the joy they got from jumping in a pile of leaves as a kid?
12. Go on a hayride.
13. Plant flowers and watch them bloom in the spring.
14. Wear layers--scarves, leggings, boots, wear it all.
15. Learn how to square dance--as weird as this may sound, it really is fun.
16. Drink tons and tons of apple cider.
17. Spend a night in watching movies and drinking hot chocolate.
18. If you're 21 or older, celebrate Oktoberfest with tons of beer.
19. Throw a Halloween party or go to a Halloween party--heck, do both--and wear your scariest costume; it's only once a year that it's acceptable to dress in character.
20. Go for a walk and take pictures of the changing leaves--there's nothing like the perfect Insta pic.
21. Start Christmas shopping.
22. Decorate your room, house, porch, etc. for Halloween and/or fall and really get in the spirit.
23. Eat too much delicious food on Thanksgiving.
24. Go Black Friday shopping and take advantage of all the deals and spend way too much money.
25. Order something pumpkin spice flavored.
26. Enjoy the beautiful weather and fun activities because before you know it, winter will be in your presence and you will be miserable and start counting down the days until next fall.
Enjoy the weather now, because before you know it, you will be knee deep in snow with two winter coats on and nothing but the view of dead trees.
