Fall is here and there's so much to do! Dallas is the ninth largest city in the country, so there's lots to do. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you'll always find something new in Dallas.

From Restaurants to music venues, you're destined to have fun while you're here. There are plenty of museums to visit and shopping to be done, especially in the fall. From holiday fun to the State Fair of Texas, Dallas has so much to offer and will not disappoint.

Here's my top 11 fall activities in Dallas:

1. State Fair of Texas.

The State Fair is one of the Texas' biggest attractions, taking place from September 29-October 22. This is the place to be. From games, rides and fried food, what more could you ask for? Remember to take a picture with Big Tex as the backdrop, or how else will we know you went to the fair?

2. Autumn at the Arboretum.

This fall festival is a spectacular show of color, with 90,000 pumpkins, corn and gourds, perfectly displayed. With breathtaking colors at every turn, don't forget to bring your cameras and capture this wonder.

3. North Park Pumpkin Patch.

Get in the autumn spirit at North Park's Pumpkin Patch through October 31. It is the perfect setting for a family portrait on a crisp fall afternoon.

4. Dark Hour Haunted House.

For the haunted house fans, Dark Hour Haunted House takes you on a journey into the depths of evil as you explore the haunted coven manor. Like the poster says, it is a haunting experience like no other.

5. Enjoy a Dallas Cowboys Game.

While tickets to watch Americas favorite team maybe expensive, finding a bar or place that hosts watch parties is a great way to enjoy the games.

6. Visit Klyde Warren Park.

Located between Downtown Dallas and Uptown, Klyde Warren Park is the place to be during fall. Lunch time music, food trucks, and movie watch parties are a few of the activities offered.

7. Dallas Farmers Market.

Fall is a great time to grab some locally grown produce and spend time exploring the farmers market.

8. Take a stroll around White Rock Lake

White Rock Lake offers a variety of activities all year round, but the best are in the fall. Hiking, running, and bike riding are just a few.

9. Bishop Arts District.

Enjoy a fall afternoon walking through the Bishop Arts District. There are so many restaurants to try, and even more places to shop. Stop by Emporium pies and grab a slice of pie while you're there.

10. Halloween Nights at the Dallas Zoo.

October 27-30, The Dallas Zoo offers this kid friendly attraction, perfect for enjoying trick-or-treating. There are also a ton of fun crafts, games and fun things to do.

11. Blase Family Farm Pumpkin Patch.

Located just east of Dallas in Rockwall, Blase Family Farm offers tons of fall activities, like the pumpkin patch, a petting zoo and a hayride. It also doubles as a blueberry farm in the spring.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. I mean, really, what's the point in entering a relationship with someone if you don't know whether or not you're compatible on a very basic level?

Consider these 21 questions to ask in the talking stage when getting to know that new guy or girl you just started talking to:

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
