My Jesus

My Jesus by Kara Hubbard

24

I would like to share with you a poem that I wrote for my first year experience class. I wrote this poem to praise my lord and savior Jesus Christ. For He is the center of my life. I believe that there is only one God and one Lord and His name is Jesus Christ. For that is the name by which I am saved.

On January 15, 2017, I found salvation in the Name of Jesus Christ when I obeyed the instructions given to the first church by the apostle Peter who was given the keys to the kingdom of Heaven. these instructions can be found in Acts chapter 2 and verse 38. The King James Version reads as follows:

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Father, son, and holy ghost are all titles of one God and his name is Jesus Christ. Along with Way maker, miracle worker, lily of the valley, Prince of peace, and so much more. That is why I wrote this poem to honor Him. For I am not ashamed of the gospel. (Romans 116)

My JesusBy Kara Hubbard

My Jesus is my savior, my redeemer and my friend.

I commit myself to do His will until the very end.

He's the Father, Son and Holy Ghost for all these three are one.

He is my first priority and above Him there are none.

He is the Alpha and Omega: The beginning and the end,First and Last, the great I Am and through time his Word shall transcend.

He Is Holy, righteous, and virtuous,

Yet He died upon the cross for

us.

My Jesus is my hope, my strength and my joy;

In Him I place my faith and trust.

My dedication to Him is not a ploy.

For He is fair to both the just and the unjust.

He is a God of loyalty.

His promises are true.

I can't understand how much He loves me,

But I know He loves you too.

My Jesus loved me so much that He came to Earth as a man.

He was prudent as He Walked the Earth and stuck to His great plan.

He was persistent even when they crucified Him till the very end.

He rose again on the third day and to Heaven He did ascend.

He had the opportunity to save Himself from the cross,

But He saw the salvation of you and me as more of a gain than a loss.

My Jesus knew the consequences and excepted the challenge anyway.

How could anyone deny His passion for all of our salvation.

He cares for every one of us, even those who have gone astray.

He never stops loving us, even when we fall into temptation.

When Conflict Arises He's there to catch me when I fall.

His patience is greater than that of any man.

Now let me encourage you by telling you how much He loves us all.

In His infinite knowledge and wisdom, He loved us before time began.

My Jesus is worthy of all praise, honor and glory.

His love is enough to motivate me to tell you my story.

I was lost and living in a world of sin;

Then Jesus took me in.

He showed me His perception of me;

Though even now it's hard to see.

I am forever grateful for His sacrifice.

Jesus payed the ultimate price.

This poem can in no way do justice to how I feel about my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, because no words will ever be good enough to describe what I feel. I hope you find this poem inspiring but most of all that you would obey acts 238 as well. For Jesus said that a man cannot even see the kingdom of God and less he is born again of water and spirit. We must repent or turn away from our sins, be water baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission or washing away of our sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost in order to be saved. We know that a person has the Holy Ghost when he or she speaks in tongues. I plan to write articles about the Oneness of God, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost, Holiness standards, separation from the World, The gifts of the Spirit, The end time, and more. I will also share my testimony and a few things that God has showed me related to this generation. I was born blind with an eye condition called optic nerve hypoplasia. It means that my optic nerve never developed properly. God has already restored part of my site and I believe that he will restore the rest of it very soon. I know he has great plans for my life and I am excited to see what all that might entail.

Remember, Jesus loves you too and he wants you to be saved. I will now share with you a verse that I have found to be very encouraging. It also happens to be one of my moms favorite verses.

11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Jeremiah 2911 ( NIV)

I would also like to close by saying, never give up on the dreams that are placed in your heart by the lord. When I was about eight or nine years old, I prayed that God would give me a voice to sing and that if he did I would use it for his glory. I am now a member of the worship team at first Pentecostal church of Prairie County in Hazen, Arkansas. I love the opportunity to worship God in such away. It is such a dream come true for me. God has been better to me than I could ever have imagined. No one is as merciful and kind as he is. Some people might call me Jesus only and that’s fine but I say that I am Jesus everything. Jesus is my everything and he’s everything to me. I pray that as you read this your eyes will be opened and that you will see the truth of who God is. I pray that on the final day you’ll never have to hear him say “depart from me for I do not know you” sadly, this will be a reality for many people but it doesn’t have to be. Try to find a good apostolic church and be baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost. Trust me, it’s the best decision you’ll ever make in your entire life.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
