In order to have the chance to stand back up, you need to fall down first.
That same reasoning needs to apply to when we fail. Failure is not a bad thing. Failure shows that we are strong enough to recognize areas in our life that need to grow.
Jeremiah 8:4 says:
Jeremiah, say this to the people of Judah: This is what the Lord says: You know if a man falls down, he gets up again. And if a man goes the wrong way, he turns around and comes back.
This shows that it is God's will for us to learn and change direction when we face failure.
No one is perfect. No one lives a perfect life. We are giving challenges that may make us believe that we failed. Those challenges are in places to remind us that we still have room to learn and grow. It reminds us that we are not perfect.
A set back is defined as a simple reversal. This can be, and usually is permanent.
Failures are not permanent.
Philippians 3:13-14:
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead, I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead, with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
This verse reminds us that failure is temporary and that it becomes part of our past as soon as it ends.
Failures are experiences that God gives us so we can learn and grow from them. God wants us to follow his will and learn from our failures so that we can be the best version of ourselves.
Failures are a necessary evil that everyone must face. Everyone will fail in life, but not everyone will be setback.
