Young DJ and now producer, Ventura, will host Face Full of Bass Episode 1 on October 21. The event will take place during Ball State University's Homecoming weekend at Be Here Now, the iconic DIY bar.

Ventura is a current member of the Muncie EDMC that has played many successful events over the past few years. While originally a DJ, Ventura has stepped into the producer realm. His first track "Demon" will be featured on "Wrong Number" releasing October 27.

DJ, producer, and also a lightning technician; Ventura is already making moves in the game. As the host for this show he explains that, "The concept for this show is bringing the scene together for a night of awesome people and awesome music. Plus, bringing in some hard-hitters from all over the state should bring something new to Muncie, especially for the 100 year homecoming at Ball State!"

Face Full of Bass will be bringing highly established artists including Trilli and TRØLL, both very respected and successful artists within the scene.

TRØLL can usually be found down in Bloomington, almost every weekend, in a squid hat blasting out bass tracks. Some nights he's at The Bluebird, other nights he's at Serendipity. In other words, he pretty much plays everywhere so you have no excuse for missing him! He brings a lot to a set including energy, craft, and a lot of bass.

If you want to catch Trilli, you have to visit Indianapolis. A household name, Trilli is an Indy favorite at the downtown bars. He plays off-the-wall tracks with a trap influence. Trilli was also voted 3rd place as Best Local Music Producer from NUVO in 2017.

Also on the line-up will be Kaneko and Kados, both are fairly new to the Muncie EDMC roster. But have both made an impact within the collective through promotion and performances. Just this past month Kaneko released a new track titled "Discover."

Ejion will also be joining the night, a long-term member in the collective that has been around since the early days.

Both Ejion and Kaneko will be releasing tracks for "Wrong Number" on October 27.

If you're looking to hear some sick music from up and coming names, Face Full of Bass is an event you don't want to miss. EDM is a growing culture and Muncie is about to be on the radar. With a handful of young DJs and producers rising above the norm, the scene is making their own name. Basement raves, compilation albums, and monthly events, the scene is taking matters into their own hands.

Face Full of Bass Episode 1 will take place at Be Here Now on October 21, music starts at 9 p.m.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
