No one was fully prepared when it was announced that the "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" play would officially be published as a book. The script was written by Jack Thorne, a well-known English television writer, and directed by John Tiffany as well as co-produced by original creator, J. K. Rowling. The script was originally adapted for the play that is to be performed in London this summer on July 30, while the book will be released on July 31.

The excitement over the expansion of the beloved Harry Potter series has people reminiscing about the characters and the adventures that they endured throughout the series. As we all try to patiently wait for the play and the book to be released, take a look at some of these questions and expectations that I'm sure a lot of us are thinking about for the eighth part of this magical series.

Will Harry Potter prove that being an adult is not fun?

Right off the bat in the released summary of this play it states, "It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children." Yikes. It looks like Harry Potter realized that not going back to Hogwarts was probably not the best decision. He has finally entered into adulthood and it is proven once again that it is exhausting and has too much responsibility.

What a great thing to look forward to. I would say that he probably wishes that he was a young teen again in Hogwarts, but he didn't exactly have the time of his life with the constant dangerous situations that he got into and the threat of death by Voldemort. From this description, it sounds like any normal hardworking family man. It sounds so boring to be "normal," hopefully he will be able to get excitement back into his life again.

Does the Ministry of Magic finally have their act together?

From the beginning of this series, we have all read and seen the ups and downs of the Ministry of Magic. Past ministers, including Cornelius Fudge and Rufus Scrimgeour, proved to bring the Ministry of Magic into corruption with the constant lies in order to "maintain the peace" when really they were putting the wizards and muggles lives at risk. This includes the constant refusal by Cornelius Fudge to believe that Voldemort has really returned and the constant news about Harry Potter painted as a criminal and as being dangerous. At the conclusion of "The Deathly Hallows," we see that Kingsley Shacklebolt had taken over as Minister and cleaned up the corruption effectively. It will be interesting to see if he is still permanently the Minister and if it is still at peace.

Will Harry's children act exactly like the beloved characters they're named after?

One of the many things that I loved that J. K. Rowling included in the epilogue of "The Deathly Hallows" was creating the names of Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley's children. They have three children named James Sirius, Albus Severus, and Lily Luna Potter. They are all named after the characters we love from the series and are the most important people to Harry. It will be interesting to see if the children behave and act with similarities to the people that they are named after. I can't wait to find out about more about his children.

Will Albus have the teen angst that Harry went through throughout the series?

Another part of the summary stated, "While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted." This sounds a lot like the teen angst that we've all seen Harry go through. Like father like son, it looks like the sarcastic side of Harry Potter that we love from the books will be shown through his son. The script seems to have that teen angst theme that was seen in "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," "Order of the Phoenix," and "Half-Blood Prince." Honestly, I don't know why the kid would be complaining about Harry being his father. I guess it's hard being famous.

Are Ron and Hermione still together?

The question that seems to be on a lot of readers minds even past the conclusion of the series is if Ron and Hermione are an actual match. Rupert Grint, the actor who played Ron Weasley, felt for sure that they would end up in a divorce. J. K. Rowling believed that they "will be alright with a bit of counseling." I personally love the relationship between Ron and Hermione and I hope that they would still be together in the next installment in the series.

Will we see Neville Longbottom as their professor?

In the epilogue of "The Deathly Hallows," we learn that Neville Longbottom became a professor of Herbology at Hogwarts. Hopefully, this has not changed in the new script. I would love to see Neville as the professor for Harry Potter's children. Neville Longbottom is the most underrated character in the Harry Potter series. His bravery shined in "The Deathly Hallows," which made me love him even more.

What evil or darkness is in store for these characters?

The rest of the summary states, "As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places." This was interesting to read especially when thinking what more dangerous events could Harry Potter get into. I would be surprised if it has anything to do with Voldemort since I felt that he was permanently gone after the last installment. I can't wait to find out what darkness comes their way that they must conquer.

There are so many more questions and thoughts that we all have for this new addition to one of the greatest series ever written. I can't wait for the new details to be released for this script. I think that it's safe to say that Harry Potter will always live on!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
