Not sure if this happens to anyone else, but I often find myself experiencing some kind of existential crisis.
With the constant advancement of technology, it’s hard not to think about where technology could take us. After reaching Mars or further into the Galaxy, how will technology change our lifestyles, change us? Could it be that we may experience a technological apocalypse where automation will truly exterminate the human race and take over the planet? Or, will we be able to live our lives comfortably like the future world of “Meet the Robinsons” with the ability to travel through time? Can technology replace human contact? If so, how would this work? Is the advancement of technology beneficial or detrimental to the human race?
Not that I don’t enjoy my life right now but it is intriguing to think and ask questions about topics that seem to have no definite answer. If death is the only definite thing in life what does living really mean? If we all eventually pass away, what’s the difference between now and later? Do we truly have a purpose while we are alive? If so, what is that purpose?
Should we be judged by actions or intentions? If you committed a horrible crime is it more acceptable to you and others who affected to be judged by your actual measurable actions or your intentions in the first place?
Do aliens exist? Does any other extraterrestrial life exist? What makes humans human? Are we in a progress trap?
There are so many questions and topics that don’t have a definite answer and still lack discussion upon. However, I encourage everyone to take time to explore such ideas, you never know what you may discover about the world or yourself.
