Everything (Important) Announced At E3
Jeshoots

There were a lot of announcements this year at Electronic Entertainment Expo. With so many new games coming out, it's getting hard to keep track. This is a short, quick list of the things I thought were important. If you want to know absolutely everything that happened at E3, here's a long list.

Nintendo.

"Pokemon" Gold and Silver Rerelease.

"Pokemon" Gold and Silver are coming to the Nintendo 3DS (this September) as Virtual Console titles. Like "Pokemon" Red, Blue, and Yellow," Gold and Silver will be compatible with the wireless features of the 3DS.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" Release On the Nintendo Switch.

Along with VR, "Skyrim" is also getting another release on the Nintendo Switch this year. Look forward to exploring the world of "Skyrim" on the go, while using motion controls. The Nintendo Switch release also includes new "Legend of Zelda" items, as well as all official add-ons and Amiibo Support.

"Super Mario Odyssey."

Mario is back in a new title on the Nintendo Switch. Releasing in October, you can join Mario in his mission to disrupt Bowser and Princess Peach's wedding. Expect new power-ups and new worlds to explore.

"Metroid Prime 4" Is Currently in Development.

After literal years, "Metroid" is getting a new title. "Metroid Prime 4" is currently being developed for the Nintendo Switch. The bad news is that there's currently no release date.

"Kirby" For Nintendo Switch

Coming in 2018, Kirby is getting a new 2D platformer for the Nintendo Switch. It also looks like we're getting some 4-player co-op action.

Microsoft.

Xbox One X: New Microsoft Console

Microsoft announced that Xbox One X will launch November 7th for $499. With backwards compatibility and 4K gaming, the Xbox One X is an impressive (and expensive) gaming monster.

"Crackdown 3."

It's been 7 years, but "Crackdown" is finally getting a new sequel. Backed by the amazing Terry Crews, "Crackdown 3" features Microsoft-Azure mass destruction (everything in the game can be destroyed). Coming November 7th.

Sony.

"Days Gone."

A new open-world apocalyptic game from Syphon Filler's SIE Bend Studio, "Days Gone" has some scary looking zombie-hunting action.

"God of War."

The "God of War" series is getting a reboot, but instead of being based off Greek mythology, it's based off of Norse mythology. Follow Kratos and his son on a bloody adventure in 2018.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" VR.

"Skyrim" is coming to the Playstation VR, complete with motion controls. Comes in November.

Multi-platform.

"Anthem."

Bioware's new 2018 title is an action RPG with customizable exosuits and beautiful graphics. The game will include co-op multiplayer in its massive open world.

"Star Wars Battlefront 2."

"Star Wars Battlefront 2" apparently contains a new single-player campaign mode as well as much more content than the last game. It'll be available November 17th.

"Minecraft" Unified Servers

"Minecraft" is finally getting universal severs for Xbox, PC, mobile, and Nintendo Switch. There will also be a 4K update later this year.

"Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus."

The new "Wolfenstein" game looks great. Lots of action and violence. Be prepared to kill some Nazis on October 27th.

"Kingdom Hearts 3."

A new gameplay trailer was released at E3, and another will be shown at the D23 expo on July 15th. Still no release date...

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
