"Superbad" is one of my favorite comedies and a lot of its dialogue is relatable, hilarious, and can describe moments in life in general.
1. Uncontrollable sarcasm.
What’s the fun in responding to things truthfully when you can use sarcasm as you’re weapon of defense? Having a parent, friend, or person try and tell you something that is really irrelevant in the grand scheme of things and you force yourself to listen anyway? You deserve to reply in the most sarcastic way possible. Go on, use that witty response.
2. When you’re caught looking at someone.
Especially when you’re in a classroom, things get boring. You probably start looking around at everyone and probably stop to look at that guy or girl across the room and when they meet your gaze you try and play it off smoothly.
3. Embarrassing moments.
In my experience, the best part about having siblings, for example, is that you know everything about them and will not hesitate to bring up an embarrassing story about them from the past. So, no matter what they say to you, you always have that story to fall back on to stop them in their tracks and rejoice in victory.
4. When things actually turn out well.
When you finally build up the courage to talk to that guy or girl you have been eyeing for weeks and somehow the conversation actually goes smoothly.
5. Seeing your friends after a long time.
Being at different colleges makes it hard to see your friends from home, so when you finally go on break and see them for the first time, you can go back to being your weird self.
6. Gym class in high school.
Personally, having played sports all my life, I was one of the only people who didn’t mind going to gym class, but you always had those gym teachers who would actually yell at you to put more effort into everything. So just to spite them, you do something like this.
7. Hearing your music start playing.
When your favorite song comes on in a public place or even when you’re alone and you can’t help but just go all out, even if you can’t dance at all.
8. The art of lying.
This is relatable to anyone who has ever told your parents a lie and you’re waiting to see if they will buy it or not.
9. Making plans with friends.
You know when you and your best friend have plans together and then all of a sudden when you get there you realize they invited their boyfriend or girlfriend without even telling you.
10. Taking a test.
You know when you studied for a test but when you get it you realize it was a lot harder than you thought it was going to be? So you take it, thinking you failed but when you get it back you actually got an A.
11. Feeling like you and your friend are the only normal people in a situation.
Whether someone says something, does something, or just confuses you with their stupidity, all you have to do is give your friend that look and you both already can agree with each other that you guys are the only normal people in the room.
