Why Every Girl Needs A Happy Planner

As a person who usually remembers things, I always had trouble keeping a planner. In fact, at one point I felt that planners were dumb. Then, I saw some of my friends carrying around Happy Planners. I had to check these out for myself. So, I went to my local Hobby Lobby and picked one up. Although I have not had my planner for very long, I can already tell that this planner can be life-changing.

1. They all come in fun designs to fit your personality.

It's what's on the inside and the outside that counts. Filled with bright colors and inspirational quotes, you are sure to find a cover that matches your personality. If you can't pick just one cover or you want to change it up, you can even take off the cover and put on a new one!

2. The Happy Planner is organized by the time of day.

Do you thrive on writing out your weekly schedule? Do you need to remember on Thursday morning that you have a work meeting and a girls night out in the evening? This planner can easily help to organize your busy schedule. The pages are also just as cute as the cover!

3. You can spice it up with stickers!

Who doesn't need more stickers in their life? You can use motivational stickers, workout stickers, reminder stickers, stickers for birthdays, the list goes on and on. Decorating my planner takes me back to my middle school days of putting hundreds of stickers on the cover. You can also do that too, if you wish!

4. You can even customize your planner down to the rings that it has.

The secret to easily adding and taking out pages is the rings! The holes on the pages and covers wrap around the rings for easy access. You can find different sizes of rings in a multitude of colors to perfect your planner. What's not to love?

5. You can add in additional months.

Did you find a planner that you fell in love with, but it's March and the planner starts in June? Don't worry, you can put in more months the same way that you can put on a new cover. If you purchase a hole puncher to go with the Happy Planner, you can add in anything that you want. It's as simple as that!

6. You can also use washi tape for more of your decorating needs.

Did you ever think that you couldn't decorate your planner more? Think again! This tape comes in fun designs to customize it even more! Fulfill more of your middle school self by decorating your planner during class. Girls love it and so will you!

7. There is so much online inspiration for you to find!

Did you pick up a Happy Planner, but you're not sure what to do with it? That's not a problem thanks to the Internet! The Happy Planner website and social media accounts help inspire planner owners to customize and design the perfect planner. The website also gives you free printables such as holiday gift lists, an Instagram challenge, and a "Year At a Glance" page to put in your planner!

So what are the reasons for you not to have a Happy Planner? Get your planning on today!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
