As we roll into the colder months, we can be assured of two things. The holiday season and flu season are both here. While this time can be full of joy and fun, there are certain precautions we must take so we don't spend all of winter locked in a bedroom and being sick. Personally, I fall sick quite easily and my immune system isn't very strong. However taking some simple precautions can go a long way in keeping us healthy and making sure we don't infect other people who are enjoying the most wonderful time of the year. Here are 3 steps to a healthier flu season.
1. Wash your hands
This is supposed to be a simple idea. If we wash our hands, much of the germs that can potentially do hard to us can be removed. This step is very easy and if we wash our hands properly, most diseases that can be removed, will be removed.
2. Keep distance from sick people
This one might be quite hard as people often try to power through their sickness and still do everyday activities. Tell these people to keep the sickness away and help themselves. The more they keep their disease, the more chance they have of infecting someone new.
3. Get the flu shot
If you are feeling extra cautious, getting the flu shot can help the immune system develop and immunity. This reduces the chance of contracting the disease to a low percent and in turn your body can take the on wave of other virus to defend the body.
Stay safe from the flu.
