It's like Hogwarts, but not as magical.

7 Types Of People You See On Campus At The End Of The Semester

Ok, so we're wrapping it up. The end of the semester is upon us and April is "Save Your GPA Month." We have been grinding the whole year and we can see summer quickly approaching. We are so close to being free and feeling the sun shine on our skins and getting that tan we really want. Still, we need to make it through this last month. There will be a lot of different types of people at the ends of the semester and here are some of them.

1. The Busy Bee

These students have been working hard all semester and don't seem to be stopping anytime soon. They will lock themselves away with textbooks, notes, and example problems and will refuse to do anything but study. They're the ones with a 4.0 GPA. So they're doing something right.

2. The Guy Who Appears After Being Gone The Whole Semester

You have never seen this dude. He walks in on finals day and your so confused. You might have thought that he walked into the wrong classroom but nope he's right where he's supposed to be. He isn't even breaking a sweat and you have no idea how he can stay so calm in such a situation. How can someone who hasn't been to class all semester be so relaxed?!

3. The Break-Down Artist

Every little thing causes this person to cry. I don't blame them. The end of the semester is such a hard, time-crunching event and there is no way around it. This person is just so overwhelmed and cries all day. every day. Still, they persevere and make it out with good grades and only minor stain marks on their clothing.

4. The Library Lover

No matter what time it is, no matter what day it is, you will see this person at the library. They are furiously typing, writing, and studying. They don't want to ever leave and they survive on the vending machine snacks and candy. They have become one with the library.

5. That One Random Kid Who Tries To Make Everyone Happy On Campus

I don't know about different campuses but on my campus, there has been a guy dressed as an elf passing out candy during finals week and a guy who played the saxophone. They were trying to make sad and miserable students happy. There might be that one kid who smiles through everyone and somehow gives you a ray of hope that everything is going to be ok.

6. The Chill Dude

I have no idea what this guy is about. He's chill. He's a dude. Nothing phases him and he's ok.

7. You

You've made it this far so you know you can finish strong. You can see the bright summer sun shining above the horizon. You know you have tried your best and you can keep on keeping on. You believe in yourself and that's all you need. You got this!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
