The end of summer vacation can be filled with many different emotions, both happy and sad. It's difficult getting used to one routine for a few months and then having to switch back to another for an entire semester. Luckily, Friendsis here to empathize with our "end of the summer blues."
1. It is time to say an emotional "good-bye" to our hometown friends.
Allow the group hugs and tear-filled eyes to commence.
2. Putting in your two weeks after working like a lunatic all summer has never felt so good.
Thanks for the paychecks all summer, but it's time to be a free bird now.
3. Figuring out what things to bring to school and what to leave at home.
AKA the biggest challenge you've had since your math final in May. It usually ends up with me asking myself questions like "Did I bring that last year?" "Do I need six pairs of black heels?"
4. You remember there's no such thing as "privacy" at school, and your friends will be in your room, all day every day.
Friend: "Can I come in?"
You: "Not now, I'm busy!"
Friend: *Walks right on in* "Does my armpit smell weird?"
5. Mom's home made dinners won't be waiting for you after a long day of classes so savoring them while you can is a must.
I am not physically, mentally, and emotionally ready to eat pizza and tacos every single night.
6. Getting back into a regular sleep pattern is not looking too positive.
You: "It's 1 a.m., I have an 8 a.m. class, and I can't sleep."
Brain: "Did you know the meaning of 'Be there or be square' is because you're not 'a-round?'"
7. Once you get back to school though, you realize you missed "home" more than you originally thought and get ready for an amazing semester ahead.
Syllabus week 2016 is gonna be cr-a-a-a-zy!
