Staying around campus for the summer is a weird experience when you're about to go back to school. There's no big build-up to moving in and there's just the sudden realization that classes are starting sooner than you think.
So all of a sudden you're in school-mode and with that comes all the stress that you've been free of during the summer.
Summer was great -- I got to be with my friends, explore the city I live in, make some money, and even play the college "Survivor" that I'm usually behind-the-scenes of. Of course, I can say these past few months went by too fast, but I can't really complain about how they went.
So now I'm back in that school-mode and ready to jump back into campus life. While I'll miss the freedom that comes with summer, I'm happy to be busy again and have all my friends back in the same place.
Yes, summer is dead. But in its place comes a campus bursting with people once again. I have a lot of amazing memories from this summer, but I know that I'll make plenty more this year.
