The summer begins with excitement to return to your seasonal job. You are so excited to see all of your old coworkers again, and rack up a good amount of money this summer.
There is always that painful first week where you have to adjust to all the newbies trying to tell you how to do your job, when they have been there for 10 minutes.
And when the newbies mess up (because they will), they make it your problem.
As the weeks pass, you slowly begin to remember just how exhausting your job is and begin to lose track of how many days it has been since you actually had a day off.
Realizing the only time that you are going to have to eat this summer, is going to have to be quick and therefore not the most healthy, you shoot all chances for your "I'm going to get fit" summer right in the face.
But you just have to power through the endless bad meals and overtime because everyone on the payroll is starting to leave for cool trips and you guys are too understaffed for you to have a relaxing summer vacation.
You and your coworkers get through the days by pep talking each other before a shift.
Through it all though, the adjustments, and the sleeping-in-less mornings, you are so thankful for this job because of the awesome memories you have made on and off the clock with your coworkers.
